Import Export Code
An individual or a business entity needs a 10 digit code to import or export products or
services. This code is known as Import Export Code or IEC and it is issued by DGFT,
Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of India. This code comes with lifetime
validity. Once the required documents are submitted, the code is generated within 1-5
working days. This code can be issued in either your or company’s name
Documents Required:
- In case of proprietorship, the applicants PAN must be used.
- In case of a partnership, require PAN of Partnership Firm.
- In the case of a company, require PAN of the Company.
- In the case of LLP, require PAN of the LLP.
